Worries

We never, (or at least very rarely) use an old clothe to protect the new clothe from warring out. Because we know that way we would never enjoy the new clothe.

But we often worry too much about tomorrow such that we ruined today. Because of worrying we would never have chance to enjoy today.

Somebody said, the love of money is the root of evil. But Jesus never said that. Money does not have anything for people to love unless they make people feel that they could reduce their worries about tomorrow and make them feel safer.

It is the worry about tomorrow makes people addicted to money. But like other addictions such as addiction to alcohol or drugs, they could not help people live happier or becomes safer.

But they could turn our world into a horrible hell. Because of the worry of tomorrow, minority of people took control too much resource and space, so much that the rest could not even have enough food or a living place.

If you have a 2000 sq ft home, but for most of you time 1000 is enough, why change to a smaller one, so that other have a place to live? If working for 3 days a week could support your life, why not give out the other two days so that others have some chance to work.

The root of evil is just because people are worried about tomorrow. But does money help? How much worry could help.

That’s why Jesus never really condemn the love of money of people, instead he blame most on their worries about tomorrow. That’s his deep understanding of our mind, the foundation of his forgiveness.
